How to Gamble on Electronic Poker
Electronic Poker is a beloved game that usually will be gambled on in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at home on your computer, using a net connection. The game rules are very straightforward and consist of the player attempting to get the highest combination of cards achievable in order to come away with cash. In this respect it’s much the same as a regular game of poker, without the interaction with any other players. Of course, techniques used in a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.
The game of Video Poker begins when the player puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the draw button. A 5 card hand will be "given out" on the screen.
The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the player has decided on which cards he would like to retain, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards are needed they will be dealt. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payout schedule.
Generally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can change from game to game, so that experienced enthusiasts are agile enough to choose the most profitable game each and every instance.
After the first round has completed, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that has been won. Further, several versions of the game allow the gambler a chance to double their winnings, in which case another game is played. There are also differences between specific machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
